Frequently Asked Questions
Does detailing remove odors completely?
In some cases, yes. A professional detail can eliminate many odor sources. If odors remain after detailing, ozone treatment is the recommended solution.
I’ve had the car detailed. Why has the odor returned?
Odor-causing molecules spread throughout the entire vehicle interior, reaching areas that cannot be physically accessed. Air fresheners, chemicals, and even detailing cannot reach these spaces. Ozone fills the entire interior and oxidizes odor molecules at their source.
What is the Ozone odor removal process?
We use a powerful ozone generator that fills the car with ozone-rich oxygen. Ozone is a naturally occurring gas created by electrical activity in the atmosphere and is most noticeable after thunderstorms. It is widely used in pharmaceutical manufacturing, water purification, hospitals, and commercial facilities.
Is the Ozone treatment safe?
In high concentrations, ozone can be harmful. For this reason, no one is allowed in the vehicle during treatment. Ozone breaks down quickly, and customers can safely re-enter the vehicle about 15 minutes after treatment.
How long does the Ozone treatment take?
The process typically takes between 1 and 4 hours.
Is Ozone odor removal guaranteed?
Yes, provided the source of the odor has been eliminated. It is strongly recommended that the vehicle be professionally detailed first. After detailing, a waiting period of a few days is required before ozone treatment.
What is the Ozone warranty?
If the odor returns within 6 months of initial treatment, return the car to us for a no-charge retreatment. Limit 1 retreatment per customer.
How much does the Ozone odor removal treatment cost?
$300 - $500 depending on vehicle and service location.
Can you perform services at my office?
Yes. We require access to electricity and water, sufficient working space, and permission from building management or property owners.
How long does the detailing service take?
3 - 7 hours, depending on the size and condition of the vehicle.
Can all carpet stains be removed?
Some stains cannot be fully removed. Examples include:
- Coffee or cola stains (may be lightened).
- Red stains such as wine, candy, or daiquiris.
- Ink.
- Ground-in dirt.
- Bleach or acid stains.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash, checks, Venmo, Zelle, and all major credit cards.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes. Certificates can be purchased for full services and optional add-ons. They are valid for 6 months, require scheduling at least one week in advance, and vehicles must be 10 years old or newer.
Do you offer partial services?
No. The only package offered is The Complete Detail.
Do you detail boats or motor homes?
No. We do not service boats, motor homes, motorcycles, or specialty vehicles.
How long do I have to wait for an appointment?
All the work is performed by the owner, therefore wait times can be a little as a few days to several weeks.
Are additional charges possible?
Heavily soiled or neglected vehicles, excessive pet hair and optional requested services will result in additional fees.
When should I detail a brand-new car?
A new car can be waxed immediately. Modern automotive paints are fully cured during manufacturing. Most professionals recommend the first full detail at six months of age.
How often should I have my car detailed?
Typically, every 3 to 9 months, depending on:
- Vehicle Color
- Frequency of Washing
- Garage Storage
- Exposure to the Sun and Elements
Do you offer paint sealants?
Yes. We offer Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Sealant Wax as an optional service.
What wax products do you use?
We have used Meguiar’s products for nearly 40 years.
What can you do about bug damage on the front of my car?
Only in some cases can bug damage be cleaned up. Most front bumper covers are made of plastic. The paint on plastic panels is elastomeric making it more susceptible to damage from bugs. Couple this with the highly acidic nature of bugs’ bodily fluids and the sheer force of the impact, this usually means the damage is permanent.
What can you do about scratches on my paint?
Some scratches may be removed through paint correction. This can only be determined during visual inspection.
